About Me - Larissa

Welcome to my world.

I was born in Germany in 2001. As a child, I was quiet but observant, constantly studying the world around me and absorbing every detail. This innate ability to observe and understand my surroundings has stayed with me, and might be the root for my skills in a variety of artistic fields.

Photography:

I have always been fascinated by photography, particularly the composition and the emotions I can convey through an image—whether it's happiness, sadness, romance, or mystery. I began my journey with a phone camera, capturing self-portraits, moments with friends, and the beauty of nature around me.

In 2017/18, I had the opportunity to study abroad in New Zealand, where I graduated with a focus on Art, Digital Design, and Photography. It was during this time that I discovered the digital camera, which significantly elevated the quality of my work. I also gained foundational skills in Photoshop and Lightroom.

Since then, I have continuously refined my skills, always striving to learn and improve. My passion for photography has only grown stronger, and I am dedicated to mastering this art form.

Videography:

For me videography and photography are complementary arts in visual storytelling. Photography freezes moments in time with its still frames, while videography unfolds narratives through the fluidity of motion. Together, they capture the essence of life, portraying emotions and stories in both fleeting and enduring forms.

My first contact to this form of art was connected to video and fan edits. Creating a compilation of things I liked by forming a harmonie between music and film. I learned how to use Apples iMovie and later Final Cut Pro.

Digital Design:

I honestly don't remember my first work in this field, as digital design and photography have always been intertwined for me. My initial design project was likely connected to a photography project. For me digital design includes; Webdesign, flyer and buisines cards, Social Media layouts, and much more.

When designing, I meticulously consider multiple aspects: the visual impact on the eye, the balance between empty and filled space, and the harmony of colors. These elements are crucial in creating visually compelling and effective designs.

Equestrian:

I have always loved horses. The first time I sat on the back of a pony, was when I was three years old. I had horse toys and played "horse" in pre-school. When I turned 9 years old, I took my first horse riding classes. Since then I had regular riding lessons, until I turned 19 years old. I was trained in a french riding style called Ecole de Légèreté and later engaged in the Western and Charro style.

Now I have begun to pass on my knowledge by teaching and instructing others. As an equestrian you never stop learning, the connection to the horse is something very important to me, and over the years I have had the pleasure to learn and grow with different partners and personalities.
