Discover Your Purpose, Walk in it and Change The World!

Together we'll explore the attributes of your calling and incorporate them into your purpose journey

The Bible says, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do". Eph 2:10.

It also states in Rom 8:28 that "...all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose."

So, have you ever felt stuck in a toxic job, relationship, or company? Exhausted from chasing success or pressured by society to have it all, this message is for you. Today I'm opening up about my own journey from breakdowns at work to breakthrough moments with God, from people pleasing, to finally pursuing purpose with peace and passion.

Here's what I've learned: you don't need to earn your worth, you already have it. The moment you stop pouring your precious energy into things that drain you, and start investing in your growth, healing, and connection with God, your life begins to bloom in ways that you've never imagined.

Let's talk about letting go of jobs, habits, and goals that are toxic, or no longer serve you, including relationships, even relationships with some family members. Let me tell you-you may still need to put some distance between you and some family members for the sake of your own health.

Loving someone doesn't mean that you have to tolerate their toxicity; it implies that you can choose to prioritize your well-being by setting boundaries.

Next: Recognize the red flags of burnout - why true freedom is found within and not out there.

Next: The beauty of God's timing and how to trust it

Next: How growth, healing, and purpose are always worth your time-your time is sacred, start using it to build the life God uniquely designed for you. You're not late, you're right on time, so get relaxed and let's have some real talk.

This blog’s title resonates so much with me because I know exactly what it's like to invest heavily in things that look so wonderful but ultimately leave you feeling distressed! Yep, I've been there, I’ve chased success body goals, promotions, friendships, even approval, thinking that it would finally make me enough, but honestly, freedom begins the moment you stop chasing things that don't matter and start investing in your purpose.

The Wake Up Call

I used to work in a job that honestly looked great, but it was slowly breaking me. I ignored the signs, pushed through the tears, stayed late, and convinced myself that if I just worked harder, it would all be worth it, and guess what, it wasn't.

One day, after being hit with yet another performance report that did not reflect all the love and effort I was giving it, I just broke...Later, I realized that, at that moment, it was God tugging at my heart and saying, "Sweet girl, this is not your purpose."

God loves us so much that sometimes, if we do not listen and heed his voice, He creates circumstances around us to compel us to do what he wants us to do at that precise moment, which works out to be the best thing for us in every aspect.

So, finally, I made the scariest, but best decision of my life, I quit the job! And yes, it was hard. I had to move in with my mom, I had to start from scratch, but you know what else I did? I started healing, I began listening to my body, nurturing my soul, and praying a lot, and little by little, I started remembering who I was, not just a hard worker, but a worthy, gifted, and deeply loved woman of God.

Chasing the Wrong Things

To be honest, I think almost every one of us wants to feel seen and cherished, crucial, but we frequently look in all the wrong places for that, but in God, we often chase money, statuses, relationships, thinking that then we'll be happy, but joy doesn't live at the finish line, it lives in the now, now faith is…We do not always feel happiness or peace all the time, but we can always receive the peace that Jesus offers by faith, regardless of our circumstances.

The Power of God's Timing

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that God's timing is perfect. Even the delays, even the detours, even the no's. While I was waiting at my previous job for doors to open, He was building my character even more for what was up ahead, strengthening my spirit and preparing me for something better than what I had planned….” For the sufferings of the present time are not worthy or are nothing compared to the glory that's up ahead of us” says the word of God. But I was holding on to that job for dear life, since, let's face it, change is not always easy; sometimes it can be very challenging!

Occasionally, we might find ourselves in difficult situations because we are being tested; however, we must know when it's time for us to leave or to stay in a situation or company. Do not stay when it's time for you to leave. Tests and trials are different from temptations and destruction. God told Joseph to take Mary and Jesus and go out of Bethlehem. God is Almighty; He could have prevented Herod from harming Jesus in another way, but He chose for Joseph to take Mary and Jesus out of town. Matthew 2:3 says, "An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying Get up, flee to Egypt with the child and his mother, stay there until I tell you to return.”

Purpose!

Jeremiah 1:4-5

The word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

So, it's imperative that we constantly observe our surroundings, hear, and discern God's voice when deciding whether to stay or to leave certain situations or companies.

So how do we know when it's time for us to leave? When you are no longer at peace within a company, or with any situation that you find yourself in, seek God in prayer first about it, according to James 1:5, ask him if leaving is in his plan, and ask him to confirm it for you. God can communicate with us in many different ways.

The 5 KeysThe following are some of the things that will assist you in deciding whether to stay or not:1. Make a list of the advantages and disadvantages of staying with a person, situation, or company that you are in, and consider the costs2. Check if the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Do this in line with God's Word, for example, does the decision or idea produce strife, confusion, and leave you fearful, or does it give you clarity, peace, encouragement, and pleasure3. Consider whether your choice will honor God above all else, after all, we do not want anything that we do to get in the way of serving our God, do we? He has every right to be first in our hearts 4. Seek wise counsel and never be afraid to discuss a decision with others; however, be cautious about who you choose to speak with, only talk to someone you can trust. When we commit everything that we do first to God, He certainly guides our path and gives us favor even beyond our wildest expectations! You'll be pinching yourself to see if you're not dreaming! Like how things worked out for me when I decided to quit my job!I am not where I want to be as yet, but in terms of making a living, things are better than they were when I was with the job.
Please watch my video How I knew I had to quit my job. I shared my story, which will inspire and encourage you if you perhaps find yourself in a similar situation.
So these above are things that assisted me in choosing peace following my purpose, God's schedule, and allowing God's timing over wasting time on things that do not matter.Freedom
We are called to freedom, y'all! Freedom also entails speaking your truth without shaking, saying no without feeling guilty, looking in the mirror at your beautiful, lovely aging face and saying "I love you”, letting go of what no longer serves the purpose, and making room for what God is sending. Freedom is not being perfect; it's being whole.
So, sweetheart, what are you holding on to that's no longer serving your growth? Let this be your sign: it's okay to walk away, it's OK to rest, it's OK to start again, your time is sacred, your purpose is calling, and God, he's not late at all, but he sure doesn't want you to waste your time.
