ABOUT KP

Keith holds all athletes, beginner to advanced, accountable to holding themselves to the standard of a "dog". He prides himself on the development of crucial life skills through basketball. Skills that include but are not limited to pressure with resilience, seeing challenges through to the end, creating & applying logical thinking, comfort in uncomfortable situations, and attention to detail at the highest level.

PRIVATE MENTORSHIP

Keith is a dedicated mentor whose goal is to foster life skills over basketball skills. With a psychology degree from Lasell University, he merges his deep insight into the mind with a lifetime of basketball experience, pushing for a holistic approach to basketball training. Enjoy training that is customized to the individual needs.

Athletes work with Keith in a private or semi-private setting to develop a mentor/mentee based relationship and also utilize the tools of competition, perception & action coupling, & game like/detail focused training.

GROUP SESSIONS

Group sessions with Keith Poitier foster growth by simulating real-game scenarios. Players face situations they encounter in actual games, learning and improving through their mistakes.

A typical session will include up to 12 players at a time. Players are paired with an individual of similar skill level & compete in live drills that induce a game like feel.

Drills are progressed and regressed to fit the needs of each player, which allows for Keith to include both beginners and advanced players in the SAME session. This fosters an environment of a big brother, little brother atmosphere because the younger players get to look up to the older!

KP ELITE AAUKP ELITE AAU is a new approach to AAU. It’s more of a club. A club whose primary focus is to develop players on the court, in the weight-room, and in their mental game. Players go through intense on court training, explosive lifts, & detailed mental film sessions. All with the goal of preparing them for the school season and other circuit AAU teams.
Keith is the head coach of a team that practices up to 3 times per week, lifts 3 times per week, participates in non-basketball activities like pool parties, & disects film with attention to detail 3 times per week.
The team is not focused on wins and losses, but rather, focused on the LONG TERM growth of athletes who take advantage of the opportunity.
Be on the lookout for the 2025 season.
