Class Experience with

The Good and the Beautiful Curriculum

At Narrative Academy, children engage in a nurturing, Christ-centered learning experience designed to cultivate both academic excellence and godly character. Using The Good and the Beautiful curriculum, students will explore subjects like reading, writing, science, and art through a gentle, integrated approach that encourages curiosity and creativity.

Classes are held in warm, welcoming environments—including our home, the Maple Ridge clubhouse, and outdoor settings—offering a rich blend of structure and freedom that supports diverse learning styles. With a combination of group instruction and independent work, students will enjoy literature-based lessons, hands-on activities, nature study, and meaningful discussions that promote moral character, critical thinking, and a love for learning.

Families can expect:

A faith-based foundation that weaves Christian values throughout all subjects

Family-style learning where multiple ages learn together and build community

Flexible pacing that honors each child’s individual growth

High-quality, visually engaging materials that make learning enjoyable

A supportive environment that emphasizes kindness, responsibility, and wonder

We believe learning should be beautiful, purposeful, and deeply personal—and that’s exactly what your child will experience with us.

Narrative Academy’s Family-Centered Educational Approach

Parental Sovereignty Upheld

  • We firmly affirm the God-ordained authority of parents over their child’s education. At Narrative Academy, parents are not passive participants—they retain full sovereignty in shaping the spiritual, academic, and moral direction of their children.

Parental Authority Respected

  • We honor the vital role of parents as the primary educators and decision-makers in their child’s development, both inside and outside the classroom.

Active Family Participation

  • Families are welcomed into the learning journey—through curriculum collaboration, parent-led enrichment, and school activities—ensuring they remain connected and influential in their child’s daily growth.

Not a Drop-Off Culture

  • We intentionally avoid the disengaged model standard in traditional schools. Narrative Academy fosters continual partnership between families and educators through open communication and shared goals.

Time-Redeeming Schedule

  • Our flexible schedule is designed to give time back to families—supporting a rhythm of life that values rest, discipleship, and meaningful time together.

Strengthening the Parent-Child Bond

  • Our approach cultivates connection through home-based discussions, family learning projects, and shared experiences that deepen the relationship between parents and children.

Support, Not Replacement

  • We serve to come alongside parents—not replace them—providing biblical tools, academic guidance, and a Christ-centered community to reinforce what is taught at home.

Values Aligned with the Home

  • Instruction is intentionally rooted in biblical truth and moral integrity, reinforcing the values parents instill at home for a consistent and unified foundation.
