Hey everyone, I'm Eli!
In my six years as a nanny in London, I have had the privilege of working with more than 18 families, each with their own rules, expectations and perspectives on parenting. This has taught me that being a nanny is not just about looking after children, it is also about adapting to different cultures and parenting styles, dealing with the frustrations that arise from clashes of values and managing the emotions of living and working in such a personal environment. It is a constant challenge: balancing parental expectations, and caring for the well-being of the children while maintaining our emotional stability so that the little ones grow up in a harmonious environment.
I am from Barcelona and before moving to the UK I worked in nurseries and schools in Spain, which gave me a background in early childhood education. Over time I have supplemented my experience with specialist training in paediatric and psychological first aid (PFA), leisure activities with children and professional coaching.
This combination of experience and training has helped me understand the needs of children and families and use effective tools to meet the challenges of the profession.
I know how difficult it can be to deal with everyday contradictions and different values and how you can sometimes feel caught between what parents want and what you think is best for the children.
I aim to share with you everything I have learned about regulating our emotions, managing complex situations, and turning these challenges into opportunities for personal and professional growth. When things work well, we are key to the happy development of children's education and the peace of mind of their families.
I am here to be your companion on this wonderful journey!
