And For You?

Reuben Jackson returns to filmmaking with an absurdist short. Two friends stumble upon this maddening Avant-garde restaurant in search for a decent meal. The waiter begs to differ.

Notes from the Director

Below

"It's been a little while since we (1988) did a film. See we've been busy getting our act together. So it's nice to see something new actually get done and released again. This one was shot back in late October 2024 and was edited from December - January. It's nice to step back from the elaborate plots and storylines of previous affairs and just focus on simple bits. This is a simple film and a short one but damn does it just feel and flow nicely. I'm a little lackluster for words on "And For You?" because it hasn't gone through development hell like the rest of em. It's just gone very smoothly. Nothing was a nightmare to do and everyone was great. I'm just very pleased with it, which is unusual. I feel like it's an inherrent human thing to want to hate you art as soon as you finish it. Like "AGGGHHH THIS STINKS, IT'S THE WORST THING ANY HUMAN IS CAPABLE OF CREATING" and you never want to think about it again. But no. That hasn't happened. Maybe it's because of the extended break from shooting and editing beginning. Yeah that's probably it. I've let it have time to sit and simmer. Like soup. I like soup. Anyways, as always, and now especially, possibly previously, enjoy!

1988 ARE BACK!!!"
