A 1988 Production

The Hitchhiker’s Radio was the first collaborative effort I’d had in filmmaking, and to date the most successful 1988 Production. Its main inspiration comes down to David Lynch and his masterful filmography. Eraserhead continues to inspire me to this day. It is a genuine loss to the whole world that we’ve just witnessed, and I am in shock knowing that my hero has died. It’s hard to even conceive a world without him. Because of this, both me and Ed have decided to re-release The Hitchhiker’s Radio on YouTube as a tribute to this magnificent and once in a lifetime artist. We’ve got some important notes about the re-release to make you aware of. Back in October of 2022, I started on a long and laborious journey of remastering The Hitchhiker’s Radio in 4K. This involved a completely new colour grade, new transfers of the original videotape and a remix of the film’s audio to make dialogue much clearer and more dynamic. This was completed in September of 2023. We were saving it for the right time, and this seems like it. The film has never looked and sounded better and I’m genuinely proud of the result. It’s a far cry in quality compared to the original DVD’s quality. I encourage you to watch any of David Lynch’s works that you can get your hands on. It’s unlike anything you’ve seen before and its unlikely we’ll see anything like it again.
