Haitian American woman born in Miami, Florida, raised on my father's side. My introductory to wellness started in middle/high school, where I found interest in biology. I became a medical assistant in hoping to have an introduction to medicine/ nursing. I loved learning about the human body, especially the female body. My dreams/ and goals were to be a labor and delivery nurse but that soon subsided in my early 20's when I discovered holistic health wellness and plant medicine. Like the most of use, we had an awakening and realized that everything we have been taught about health is a lie. Most westernized doctors lied to us when they gave us pills to "help" our symptoms, instead of assessing us to realize the actual problem. I moved to the midwest in 2018, and have been on the hardest journey of my life. Through self-realization, healing, therapy, activation, the protection and guidance of the highest, and my ancestors, i broke through the intergenerational pain. I broke the chains of hate, anger, poverty, lack of awareness, emotional immaturity/intelligence, feminine health struggles., depression, anxiety, fear, and so many more. My life was a clear manifestation of generational trauma, women/feminine/womb trauma, and I knew I had to do something about it.
In 2022, I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy, and had to have a salpingectomy. This is one of the wake up calls that I had a severe imbalance in the womb and I needed to change my life drastically.
A year later I had the call to purse midwifery by spirit (it was loud and clear). Not knowing which route to take, I finally decided to make the decision to become a Certified Professional Midwife. After working in the hospital as an emergency department technician, I knew that I did not want to serve women in the hospital. I want women to have the opportunity to birth in the natural world/atmosphere, where they are most loved and comfortable.
For some reason the world has lost its connection to women and the protection of women. Women have been free birthing, and birthing with midwives in many lifetimes; and now the patriarchal system has came and tried to diminish the work of midwives for centuries.
I am not totally against the medical system, but my belief is that it should NOT be our first choice of healthcare. (It was not even the standard / first choice in the first place)
Nature was our only choice of medicine. It also taught us that, we have everything within ourselves to heal us and each other.
Come on this journey of self-discovery, we've been waiting for you. We are calling you home to remember.
